We are students of Fat Chance Belly Dance from Alameda. Our troupe name is “Spin Off Tribal Belly Dance” and our director is Wendy Allen of Fat Chance Belly Dance. We dance in the American Tribal Style of belly dance.  American Tribal Style is an internationally renown form of “lead follow” improvisational belly dance. So what we do is not choreographed. It originated 25 years ago by Carolena Nericcio in San Francisco, CA. You can read more about that here. It embraces all ages, types and sizes of women and emphasizes elegance, femininity, strength and grace. Anyone who learns the basic vocabulary of American Tribal Style can dance with anyone else who knows that style anywhere in the world.
